During the student movement in the early years, large-scale strikes and protests broke out everywhere. A college kid, Alu, tied a red bandana around his forehead with "Democracy and Freedom" written on it. People donated food to him as he walked the street, while chanting a bit here and there.

One day, he saw a group of middle school kids gathered near his home shouting slogans. As a rare, prestigious college student in that era, Alu didn’t want to be outshined by middle school kids. Seeing them acting all cool and glamorous, Alu went up and flaunted his college student ID. The group of children immediately greeted him with respect and asked him to be their leader. After that, Alu led his small “gang” around the street every day to protest.

That is, until one day, the sound of fireworks interrupted their enthusiastic chanting. Alu saw ambulances squeezing through the surging crowd. Swarms of people screamed as they desperately ran: "They are shooting!!" It turned out that the fireworks were actually gunshots. Alu’s blood ran cold and he immediately abandoned his small gang. He burned his red bandana as soon as he got home. He barely slept for a week for fear of being arrested.
